Arlin Sorensen was honored with the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional contributions to the IT industry, where he has spent over 35 years as a visionary leader and community builder. Sorensen is celebrated for his commitment to fostering collaboration and driving shared success, both as an entrepreneur and a mentor.

Sorensen began his career in 1985 by founding Sorensen Computer Connection, an IT services company that specialized in providing technology solutions for the agriculture industry. His early success set the stage for his future endeavors in the industry.

In the early 2000s, Sorensen led his company through mergers and acquisitions, transforming it into Heartland Technology Solutions (HTS). As CEO, he expanded HTS to seven offices across five states, demonstrating a bold vision for strategic growth. His leadership culminated in the acquisition of HTS in 2012.

Perhaps Sorensen's most influential work began in 2000 with the founding of HTG Peer Groups, designed to connect IT business leaders. Under his guidance as CEO, HTG grew to encompass over 600 member companies worldwide, united by a model of collaboration and community, setting a new standard for peer networking in the industry.

In 2017, Sorensen founded Oak Road Consulting to guide business leaders through transitions, focusing on his Success to Significance peer groups, which help executives navigate the shifting priorities beyond career success.

Today, as Vice President of Ecosystem Evangelism at ConnectWise, Sorensen continues to champion community and shared learning. He is widely admired for his integrity, dedication to lifelong learning, and his commitment to leaving a meaningful legacy in the IT industry and beyond.
